Frequently asked questions

Which Minecraft versions does NovaGuard support?

NovaGuard is built for Paper servers running Minecraft 1.16.5 through 1.21.x. The plugin is compiled to Java 8 bytecode, so it loads on any supported Java runtime.

Will it cause false bans?

Checks compensate for ping and TPS, and every threshold is configurable. Tune a check in config.yml, or turn it off with /ng toggle, if it flags legitimate play on your server.

Does NovaGuard use machine learning?

No. Detections are rule-based and predictive: they compare player movement and actions against expected vanilla behaviour.
